The Casa da Luz is located west of Luz on a hill in Barao Sao Joao with a wonderful, unobstructed view of the Portuguese countryside. The house has 3 bedrooms (2 doubles and one single) and two bathrooms, a kitchen-living room and a wonderful terrace from which you can look directly onto the large pool and the beautiful landscape. The house leaves nothing to be desired and offers its guests every comfort u.a. with a very well equipped kitchen, wifi and fireplace. Casa da Luz is suitable for the popular summer months as well as for the winter.
Location
Casa da Luz is located above Praia da Luz (5 km) on a hill surrounded by a 14,000 square meters of land. This private location is unique. By a 100m long private driveway with electric gate you reach the unobstructed location and have far view to the coast. Many fruit trees such as lemon, peach, orange, fig and avocado line the terraced property. But also lawns and small pine forests are included.
The nearest beach (about 5.5 km) can be reached in just 10 minutes by car. The Monchique mountains are visible in clear weather and can be reached in 30 minutes by car.
Restaurants and shopping: A selection of restaurants in the typical Portuguese style, very good fish restaurants, which also with German cuisine you will find in the immediate vicinity, in just 5 minutes walk.

Trotz Corona Urlaub machen? Diese Frage haben wir uns unzählige Male gestellt, bevor wir uns entschlossen haben, es einfach zu machen. Und es war die richtige Entscheidung. Das Haus liegt sehr ruhig an einem Hang außerhalb des Dorfes Barao de São João. Das Grundstück ist riesig und gut gepflegt. Der Pool hat unseren Söhnen (9-11-15) neben dem WLAN besonders gut gefallen. Das Haus ist sehr gut ausgestattet und liebevoll eingerichtet. Von hier haben wir jeden Tag einen anderen der unzähligen Strände besucht. Der nächste Strand ist etwa 15 Autominuten entfernt.
Wir können das Haus mit gutem Gewissen jedem weiterempfehlen, der im Urlaub fern ab vom Touristenrummel und Infektionsgeschehen die Sonne, den eigenen Pool und die Ruhe genießen möchte.

Die Unterkunft liegt auf einer schönen Anhöhe von Barao de sa Joao mit einem schönen Blick in die Ferne. Das Haus ist sehr gut ausgestattet. Für Flugreisende auch hilfreich, dass z.B. Gewürze und einige Dinge des täglichen Gebrauchs vorhanden sind, wie z.B. auch Grillschalen, Mülltüten, Kühlbox inkl. Kühlakkus für Einkäufe. Wir haben nichts vermisst. Den Grill haben wir sehr häufig genutzt, am besten mit leckerem fangfrischem Fisch. Der Pool ist natürlich der absolute Mehrwert des Ferienhauses. Sehr groß und geeignet zum Planschen und Schwimmen für 2 Erwachsene und 2 Kinder. Toll dass es auch noch ein Schwimmbrett und einen kleinen Sonnenschirm für den Strand hatte. Das Grundstück hat eine eigene Zufahrt mit großem Tor, das Grundstück ist umzäunt, was bei den herumstreunenden Hunden auch gut so ist. Hundegebell ist in ländlichen Regionen in Portugal häufig präsent, uns hat es nicht gestört. Der Ort ist sehr beschaulich und ruhig, größere Einkäufe erledigt man am besten im 15min entfernten Lagos. Ein Mietwagen ist auf alle Fälle sinnvoll, z.B. für Einkäufe oder Fahrten zu den wunderschönen Stränden. Gut gefallen hat es uns auch im nahe gelegenen Zoo, der fast fußläufig erreichbar ist. Die Abwicklung vorab durch das kompetente Algarve-Individuell Team lief top, die Betreuung Vorort war auch super. Wenn etwas war hat ein Anruf genügt und uns wurde weitergeholfen. Alles in allem also TOP! Wir würden am liebsten gleich die Koffer packen und wiederkommen :-)
