Albufeira used to be a quiet, cozy fishing village, but today Albufeira is one of the most populated resorts in the Algarve. The former atmosphere can still be seen in the preserved old town with its narrow streets and white houses. The place has a beautiful city beach and, as far as possible due to mass tourism, you can walk among colorful fishing boats.
While holidaymakers from all over Europe populate Albufeira in the high season, this changes significantly in the low season. Then you will find the charm of Albufeira in its old village character. In the morning, early risers can watch the fishermen pulling the fishing boats onto the beach with tractors.
Albufeira's city center is closed to vehicles. The cars are parked on the outskirts of town. There are shops, bars and restaurants on every corner and a large number of discos & nightclubs. Finding a suitable beach here is not difficult, as there are 23 beaches in Albufeira County with an area of 30 km.
If you don't want to stay in one of the large hotels, you will find beautiful, well-equipped Albufeira holiday homes and centrally located Albufeira holiday apartments in our offer.
