Algar Seco
The result is a series of wind-and-sea eroded rocks whose evocative shapes make this part of the coast unique, and nowhere else has these rock formations in such quantity or variety as Algar Seco. Here, children will love exploring the rock platforms and pillars, the arches, chambers and caves, the miniature gorges, clefts and pools that litter the shore. Snorkellers will find weed-encrusted rocks like miniature coral reefs below the waves. There is not much sand, but the other features compensate, including the colourful show of light and shade that begins as the sun sinks at dusk.
Praia do Centianes
This is the beach of Carvoeiro. You. It is a 500m long bay with hugh cliffs. There are typical small restaurants with good seafood.
